Video: Entourage - Season 5 Teaser

July 18, 2008

Since I started, and finished, watching How I Met Your Mother, I am quick to dismiss any sort of Entourage praising, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t fucking excited to see what they have cooking for Season 5.

The boys are back September 7th. Rocked this from Splash, who keeps me informed on all things Entourage.

I started this post thinking the above video was hilarity, until I saw this one and had tears to my eyes.

Go peep their Youtube Channel: N’Importe Qui. It’s french humor, so you know… but still - they’re the #1 most subscribed Comedian in France.

Nas: Fried Chicken; Triple Entendre!?!

June 28, 2008

This song has plagued most of my conversations this week but I have yet to have an intelligent discussion about it, so let me just have one with myself. NaS’ imagery game is very much on point with this one: he’s personifying chicken into doing shit that girls would do, but by using similes in every line to talk about what chicken is actually doing to him, yet this whole song is actually metaphorically talking about women. I MEAN HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!?

Did I mention that the instruments are infectious? Mark Ronson went in on this one.

Props to OKP! Lyrics coming as soon as I find some that make sense

Some Next Level Ish…

May 20, 2008

I love this. Nike stays pushing the envelop in the right direction. I know, how un-hip hop is it to talk about footy. I’m taking Wednesday afternoon off to peep the Champions’ League Final, and I’m excited as balls to watch the Euro this summer… oh I know you’re mad. Here, your daily dose of dope…

Island Def Jam\'s Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Jay-Z & Fabolous at The Heart of The City Tour

- Young Jeezy feat. KanYe West - Put On [Full/Mastered]

^ I’ve been playing this song since Friday night, and I haven’t even heard the Jeezy verses yet.

- KanYe West - Lollipop Freestyle

^ Cons debut’d it on his kyte Channel, illRoots ripped it, and KanYe put it on Jonah Hill.

- Lil’ Wayne feat. Young Jeezy - Lollipop (RMX)

^ See explanation below. Also, I heard Young Jeezy’s been spitting FIRE on his last few featurings… but I really haven’t been paying attention.

Fabolous feat. Red Cafe - Fuck Em All

^ I originally heard this on an amazing Rick Ross blend with a Lil Wayne verse from an old Trina song, crack none the less.

Young Buck - N.Y. City

^ Doesn’t really fit the theme here and it’s kind of left-field, but this gets me in the zone. Even though it’s practically a carbon copy of We Roll.

- Oh, and I haven’t checked for a Jay verse in months.

Now watch as I’m about to break every Hip Hop rule there is in the book: (more…)

WHO!?!

Miami-based DJ Khaled had his first shot at NY Radio on Hot 97 in like ‘02, on Cipha Sounds’ The Big Dawg Pitbull Hour. It’s funny, because alotta people say that he’s 100% a gimmick, and that he’s only running with all those artists for whatever reasons, but listening to this mix, not only was he dumbing out the very same way 6 years ago, but you hear him bigging up alotta the same people he now rolls with, and even playing their songs (except maybe Rick REUUSSS). This is also a great mix for other reasons, such as the awesome line-up of summer jamz hip hop would give us during summers passed, and also that was the summer before New York rap took a turn for the worst.

If you wanna take a trip down memory lane, peep game:

Because otherwise, Common on the drums is inexcusable, sorta like this is. Thelonious is one of my favorite Slum joints, but seriously, why you gotta go n do that? The real Felonious Monk after the jump… (more…)
